What you need

A Counzel account with at least one company's books connected (Settings, Connections).
Claude or ChatGPT, with Counzel added: in Claude from the Connectors Directory or as a custom connector, in ChatGPT as an app in developer mode, with the address above.
For the sales tools: the Sales module on that company.

How to connect

In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and add Counzel (or add a custom connector with the address above).
In ChatGPT, turn on developer mode (Settings, Apps, Advanced settings), then create an app with the address above and OAuth as authentication.
Sign in with your Counzel account and allow access.
Ask a question, for example "What is our cash position?" or "Is the Q3 VAT return ready?".
To disconnect, remove Counzel in Claude's or ChatGPT's settings.

What Claude and ChatGPT can do with Counzel

Your books

get_cash_overview, get_cash_forecast: Cash today, runway, money in and out, the forecast and what drives it.
get_receivables, get_payables: What customers owe you and what you owe suppliers, most overdue first, with legal late-payment interest.
get_tax_calendar, get_vat_return: The VAT and corporate tax payments ahead with the year-end duties, and the quarterly VAT return prepared from the posted ledger.
get_budget_vs_actuals: Your plan against the closed months, section by section.
get_company_structure: Who runs, owns, audits and advises the company. Counzel for Odoo only.

Statements and the ledger

get_profit_and_loss, get_balance_sheet, get_trial_balance: The profit and loss, the balance sheet and the trial balance, account by account, beside the same period a year earlier.
get_breakdown: Revenue, a cost class or a result broken down by month, account, customer or supplier, with each part's share.
search_journal_items, get_journal_entry, list_invoices: Posted journal items by account, partner or words, one entry with all its lines, and invoices and credit notes with the amount still open.
get_key_figures, run_close_checks: Cash, runway, collection and payment days, working capital; and the month-end close checks, each a pass, a review, a fail or not checkable.
get_matching_suggestions: Which open invoice each unmatched payment belongs to. Nothing is matched here; the matching is done in your books.

Director pay

get_director_pay, get_pay_overview: What is booked, the package simulated, and the engine's recommendation.
optimize_pay: The same with a what-if salary, result or amount to keep in the company.
get_pay_lever_ceilings: The statutory ceiling per pay lever from the facts you give.
get_tax_sheet: The Belgian tax figures in force for an income year, with their conditions, dates and legal basis.

Law and other companies (Counzel for Odoo)

search_tax_accounting_library: Passages from Fisconet, the Accounting Standards Commission, case law, EUR-Lex and social-security sources, each with its official link and dates.
find_belgian_company, get_filed_annual_accounts: A company in the KBO/BCE register, and the accounts it filed at the National Bank.
assess_counterparty_risk, get_company_ownership: A risk assessment of another company, its owners and board.
find_known_party: What Counzel already knows about a company or a person.

Sales pipeline (Sales module)

get_crm_pipeline, find_crm_opportunity: The pipeline by stage with its weighted value, win rate and deals gone quiet, and where one prospect's opportunities stand.
create_crm_lead, log_opportunity_update, move_crm_opportunity_stage: Add a lead, log a call with its follow-ups, move an opportunity to another stage in your CRM.
set_opportunity_contact: Make a person already in your books the main contact of an opportunity. Counzel for Odoo only.

research_prospect: A prospect brief. Paid contact lookups only for the people you name.
find_person_contact: The work email of one person you name. Free preview and price first; it pays only after you agree.
list_lead_briefs, get_lead_brief, draft_outreach_message: Your saved briefs, and a first or follow-up message drafted from one. Nothing is sent.
sync_lead_brief_to_crm: Put a researched prospect into your CRM: the company, its people and the opportunity, after showing what it will write.
propose_lead_runs, start_lead_run, get_lead_run: Proposed research runs, starting one up to the credit ceiling you confirm, and the companies a run found.
advise_sales_strategy, save_sales_strategy, review_sales_todos: Your go-to-market strategy, saving changes to it (the earlier version is kept), and your CRM to-do list.

Supplier bills

list_bills_to_review, get_bill_review: The bills in your review inbox, and one bill as a reviewer sees it.
create_supplier_bill: Book a bill through the same checks as an uploaded one: supplier matched, lines coded from the supplier's history, duplicates and VAT checked. It goes to the review inbox.
approve_supplier_bill, undo_supplier_bill_posting: Approve and post a bill, or return it to draft (undoing: Counzel for Odoo only).

Invoices, customers and reminders

create_customer_invoice, approve_customer_invoice: A draft customer invoice with VAT set from the customer's country and number; approving books it when the customer and total match. Neither sends it.
find_contacts, create_contact, update_contact: Find customers and suppliers and what is missing on them, add one (not when one exists already), or change their details.
add_contact_person, add_delivery_address: A person with their job title under a customer or supplier, or a delivery address beside the main one.
draft_payment_reminder, send_payment_reminder: A reminder, formal or final notice drafted in your mailbox with the invoice attached; sent only when you confirm.

Corrections

propose_journal_entry: A correction entry that must balance. In Odoo it is a draft you post in Odoo; in Exact Online it waits in Counzel.
approve_journal_entry, reject_journal_entry: Book a waiting correction when its total matches, or turn it down (Exact Online; in Odoo you post or delete the draft in Odoo).

Orders, products and stock

list_sales_orders, create_quotation, add_quotation_line, confirm_sales_order: Quotations and orders; a draft quotation from catalog products and another line on it; confirming one at the total you saw.
list_purchase_orders, create_purchase_order: Purchase orders, and a draft request for quotation to a supplier in your books.
find_products, create_product, update_product_price: Products with prices and stock, a new product, a new price.
get_margin_by_product, get_slow_movers: Revenue, cost and gross margin per product, and stock that has not sold for months with the value tied up in it.
get_stock_levels, set_minimum_stock: Stock per warehouse with reorder advice, and a product's minimum (and maximum) stock.
list_transfers, create_internal_transfer: Receipts, deliveries and transfers, and a draft internal transfer.

Manufacturing

list_manufacturing_orders, get_bill_of_materials: Manufacturing orders and a bill of materials.
create_manufacturing_order, change_manufacturing_order_quantity: A draft manufacturing order, and a new quantity before production starts.

calculate: Exact arithmetic on figures already at hand.

What Claude and ChatGPT ask you to confirm

Reading changes nothing. Every tool that changes your books or your CRM is a separate tool, and Claude or ChatGPT asks you before it runs.
Tools that change or post what is already in your books always ask, even if you allowed other tools permanently: approving a bill, an invoice or a correction, undoing a posting, confirming a quotation, changing a contact, a price or a stock level, moving an opportunity, and sending a reminder.
Approving a bill or an invoice, confirming a quotation and booking a correction check the supplier or customer and the total you saw; if they differ, nothing changes.
A read-only role can read but not change anything. With several companies, you say which one.
Changes are off until an owner or admin switches them on for a company (Settings, Connections). Until then Counzel only reads.
New invoices, quotations, orders, transfers and corrections start as drafts. Posting one is a separate approve or confirm tool; nothing goes to a customer except a payment reminder, sent only after you confirm.
Paid contact lookups and research runs show the price or the credit ceiling first, and spend only after you agree.
Settings, Claude & ChatGPT shows every call made for your company and has a button that signs your Claude and ChatGPT out of Counzel.

Your data

Claude or ChatGPT receives what Counzel's tools return at your request: figures from the books you may open, library passages, briefs and bill details. Counzel keeps a log of each tool call. The details are in our privacy policy, section 5. Privacy policy
