Add Counzel to ChatGPT

Who can add it: Business, Enterprise and Edu (full use, on the web), once an admin enables developer mode; Pro can only read.

First, create your Counzel account and connect your Odoo books (Settings, Connections). Then:

  1. Open Settings, then Apps, then Advanced settings, and turn on developer mode.
  2. In Apps choose "Create", paste the address above and choose OAuth.
  3. Choose "Scan Tools", sign in with your Counzel account, then "Create".
  4. In a workspace, an admin publishes the app from Workspace settings, Apps, Drafts.

Totals, VAT and cash are worked out by Counzel from your ledger. The AI explains them; it does not guess them.

Sign in, nothing to install

  • Reading changes nothing. Every change is a separate step that ChatGPT or Claude asks you to approve first.
  • Changes stay off until an owner or admin switches them on for a company. Until then Counzel only reads.
  • New invoices, quotations and corrections start as drafts. Nothing goes to a customer unless you confirm it.
  • Each person sees only the companies they may open, and a read-only role cannot change anything.
  • Every request is logged, and one button signs your AI apps out of Counzel.

Can I connect Odoo to ChatGPT or Claude?
Yes. Add Counzel to ChatGPT or Claude, sign in with your Counzel account and ask about your Odoo books in plain language. It takes a few minutes once your books are connected.
Which versions of Odoo work?
Odoo 19 and 20, on Odoo Online, Odoo.sh or your own server.
Can the AI change or delete data?
Only what you allow, and only after you approve each change. Changes are off until an owner switches them on, new documents start as drafts, and Counzel has no tool that deletes anything from your books.
Does everyone see only what they are allowed to see?
Yes. Each person signs in with their own Counzel account and sees only the companies they have access to. A read-only role can read but not change anything.
Is my data used to train AI models?
Counzel does not use your data to train models. What ChatGPT or Claude does with your conversations depends on your plan with them; their business plans do not use conversations for training by default.
Which AI apps work with Counzel?
ChatGPT and Claude, and also Perplexity, Cursor, Make and Gemini CLI. Microsoft Copilot is not supported yet.
Odoo 20 has its own AI connection. Why use Counzel?
Odoo's built-in connection lets the AI look through your database on its own. Counzel gives it finished answers instead, such as the VAT return, the cash forecast or the most overdue invoices, worked out with Belgian rules. It also works on Odoo 19.
